“Running MulTech in sweeps, we saw an immediate reduction in torque and a significant improvement in ROP. Over time, we saw more favorable rheologies, a drop in HTHP filtrate, and an increase in electrical stability. Emulsifier/wetting agent usage dropped 25% as well. We are still using it in the Haynesville, South Texas, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. Directional drillers just love it.”

“MulTech performed better (than competing OBM lubes), as you know, most lubes don’t get above 10% (reduction in coeficient of lubricity), and 15% ‐ 25% is usually what is seen with only the best OBM lubes. Above 30%, as in MulTech, isn’t something I have ever seen.”
